Buddhi is an accredited Pearson Edexcel Examination Centre for IGCSE & IAL examinations. We offer a range of services to support our students and private candidates in administering Pearson Edexcel qualifications and assessments.

• Exam administration: Our Centre provides the facilities and resources required to administer Pearson Edexcel assessments, including written examinations, practical assessments, and oral assessments. These facilities include secure exam rooms, invigilators, equipment such as computers or scientific equipment and state-of-the-art connectivity.
• Exam scheduling: scheduling examinations, ensuring that exams are administered on the correct dates and times.
• Access arrangements: Our Centre can help apply for access arrangements for students with special learning needs, such as additional time, modified papers, or the use of assistive technology.
• Quality assurance: administering assessments according to Pearson Edexcel’s guidelines and quality assurance standards. This includes ensuring the security of exam materials, maintaining accurate records, and conducting examinations securely.

Buddhi also offers tutorial and study support for the IGCSE and IAL board examinations. Our teachers are well prepared for teaching any international syllabus linked to the UK based IGCSE & IAL curriculum.

Edexcel’s International Qualifications

The Pearson Edexcel High School Programme offers a range of qualifications for students aged 14 to 19, including GCSEs (General Certificate of Secondary Education), International GCSEs, A Levels, and International- A Levels (IAL). The Programme offers a high-quality education that prepares students for further study or employment.

• Personalized learning where students can work at their own pace and level and receive targeted feedback and support from teachers. This approach to learning enables students to develop their strengths and address their weaknesses, and to learn in a way that best suits their individual needs and preferences.
• Assessment for learning where assessments are designed to support the learning process rather than simply measure outcomes. This approach to assessment enables teachers to provide targeted feedback to students, and to help them to improve their understanding and skills.

Pearson Edexcel qualifications are recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are considered equivalent to Indian qualifications and many Indian universities accept Pearson Edexcel qualifications for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across fields such as engineering, business, and humanities.

• Curriculum resources: Pearson Edexcel provides a wide range of curriculum resources for international schools, including textbooks, digital resources, and teacher training materials. These resources are designed to help teachers deliver high-quality lessons and support students’ learning.
• Assessment support: assessment support which include guidance on marking and grading, exemplar materials, and online assessment tools. This helps to ensure that assessments are fair, consistent, and reliable.
• Professional development: They offer a range of professional development opportunities for teachers working in international schools. This includes online courses, face-to-face training, and workshops. This helps to ensure that teachers are up to date with the latest teaching methodologies and assessment practices.
• Support from regional offices: Pearson Edexcel has regional offices around the world, which provide local support and expertise to international schools offering advice on curriculum delivery, assessment, and teacher training.

Pearson Edexcel offers a flexible curriculum by allowing International schools to  localise content, choose appropriate qualifications, offer language support, customising assessment, and collaborating with local organisations thereby enabling us to provide a high-quality education that is relevant and meaningful to our students.

The Board also offers flexibility for students to take exams as and when they are ready through its modular qualifications. Modular qualifications are designed to allow students to take individual modules or units of a qualification at different times, rather than having to take the entire qualification exam in one sitting. This approach allows students to work at their own pace and to take exams when they feel ready, rather than being constrained by a fixed exam schedule. For example, students who wish to retake an exam can do so without having to retake the entire qualification.

Pearson Edexcel also provides a range of support for students with special learning needs, to ensure that they have an equal opportunity to access education and achieve their full potential. These include –

• Access arrangements for students with special learning needs, such as extra time, rest breaks, or use of a scribe or computer. These arrangements are designed to provide students with a level playing field, so that they can demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a fair and equitable way.
• Special considerations for students with special learning needs who may be affected by circumstances outside of their control, such as illness, bereavement, or other personal issues. These considerations may include extra time, consideration of their performance in relation to their disability among others.
• Alternative assessment arrangements for students with special learning needs who may not be able to access the standard assessment. These alternative arrangements may include oral examinations, practical assessments, or other forms of assessment that are better suited to the student’s needs.
